Watch Out For That Deer
We had a wonderful trip to Grand Junction last weekend to see our new neice. We almost made it there with no trouble. (everytime we go somewhere something goes wrong, that's why we're home bodies) Just outside of Montrose we smacked a deer. Ray wrecked my car!!! Just kidding honey. He really did all he could to avoid her but there was no where else to go. He was over as far as he could get. And the deer actually hit us. I wanted to cry but held back. I was very grateful no one was hurt. I told Ray if she would have tried to jump to miss us she could have ended up in our laps. Ray didn't even stop. Why? After that she had to be dead. To make Ray feel even better, everyone we talked to said "I've never seen deer around there." Ray handled it well and said, "go now you'll see a dead one." Poor Ray don't have the best of luck. We tease him all the time and call him the shit maginet. Anyway we take the Excursion in Monday to be fixed. I am going to miss her but I will survive. Thank goodness for good car insurance. We got an estimate and it came to $3,588.32. I can't believe a little deer caused this much damage. What if that would have been an elk? As if wrecking my car wasn't enough. The men took off one afternoon to look for animals. Took the Excursion so the kids could all be in car seats. Long story short... they ended up stuck for 2 hours. They had to end up calling someone to pull them out. They were in deep trouble becuase they were late for dinner. They must have had the car pretty muddy because they washed it before they came back. I heard they spent $25.00 washing it. I can only imagine how muddy it was.

I don't even know what more to say. This child is going to give us a run for our money. I didn't relize how busy he kept me everyday till he was sick a few weeks ago. Those days were somewhat relaxing because he didn't do much. We are always getting him off of, down from, or out from under something. He loves to crawl up on the table. At first is was no big deal to keep the chairs pushed under the table. He soon figured out all he had to do was crawl under the table and push them out and get on top of the table. To top that off he would sit in the middle of the table and holler HA HA at us. So now we keep the chairs against the wall instead of pushed under which bugs me to death. He loves to crawl on the top bunk in the boys room. As a result their bedroom door is closed most of the time. We finally fixed all the cabinets in the kitchen so they lock again. Thank goodness our oven door has a lock because he has opened it and stood on it. We had to put an annoying lock on the dishwasher door. He figued out when it was latched shut he could turn it on and that was a fun game for him. My dad has a table by his chair and Dakota can't stand it. He'll watch my dad out of the corner of his eye and sneak over to that table and have a good time. Grandpa just laughs because he really is not all that sneaky. He loves to get in the pantry at Ray's parents house. He loves those shelves that are just his size. A few weeks ago I was painting my kitchen and ran outside to start my car, maybe gone 30 seconds. By the time I got back in the house he was almost to the top of the ladder. He crawls up on the couch and runs back and forth, he sits on the end table, crawls into his toy box, crawls into the dryer when I'm trying to load it, and now the toilet. I am so so glad I had cleaned that toilet the night before and even more thankful it was flushed. Guess no room is safe. I had no idea he could even flush the toilet. Like Candace said maybe the got in the toilet looking for the cars he flushed. He's a mess that's for sure. This is my second time typing this post beacause he can't stand to stay away from the desk. He is getting such a bratty personality. I am creating a monster because I laugh at him. How could I get mad at something so cute? He gets frustrated and makes fists and yells it's so cute but yet again it won't be when he's 3. At the same time he is the sweetest little boy!! He gives mommy hugs and kisses all day long. He loves to be loved. I thank my lucky stars everyday that we were blessed with this sweet little boy. I am thankful that he is healthy enough to keep me on my toes.
"O" the reason for the new toilet. Ray took the toilet off to get the cars out and had it sitting in the shower. Low and behold with Ray's luck the toilet fell over and the tank broke. My poor honey I am pretty sure the last luck streak he was on was 10 years ago when I said "yes."

Did I Say I Liked My Calling?
As you have all read in my posts. I was called a few months ago to teach Relief Society. About a month ago I expressed out loud how much I liked my calling. Which I really did, I was learning a lot and had this increased love for Relief Society that I didn't really have before. I really honestly do love going to Relief Society. I don't know if it's because I was in Primary for so long or the fact that I don't get much adult interaction staying at home with my kido's or what but I love going to Relief Society. I should have never said out loud that I like my calling. Which someone did warn me about. I received a call last week that Bishop needed to meet with me. I will admit I was a little scared I liked what I was doing and was prepared to say NO to whatever was asked of me. (that is awful my mom taught me better than that.) Long story short... I was called to be the 2nd counselor in the Relief Society. Scared??? yes very, Overwhelmed??? yes very, Lost??? yes very much so, WAY out of my comfort zone??? YES very, I feel very inadequate!!! I have prayed a lot for Heavenly Father to help and guide me. The other ladies is the presidency are WONDERFUL and I love each one of them. I guess this new calling could explain my sudden love for Relief Society?? I guess not as much stressing over lessons. I will only have to give one every 3 months. But I am sure there will be a lot more to worry about. I hope to still have the self motivation to keep studying the lessons like I was. Wish me luck!!
Crafty Pants R' Us
In one of my previous posts I had mentioned getting together with my sisters and having a craft day. We had our first one Saturday at Tiff's house. We made these georgious love signs, and kid proofed Tiff's house in the process. I am sure she was glad to see us leave. We had a good time and the big plus... the sign was super easy to make. (I mean SUPER easy, if I can do it ANYONE can.) I wanted to post a picture of our work. Thanks dad for cutting out the letters for us. You are the best!!!

Crafty Day
I've never really been into decorating my house for much more than Christmas. Lately I have had a desire to decorate for ALL holidays. Chance didn't have school Monday so I in a DESPERATE attempt to stop the fighting we made Valentine's Day decorations. We made a HUGE mess but we had a good time doing it. Here's some pictures of the stuff we made.

These first two were the ones that made the HUGE mess. The boys shaves crayons and had shavings everywhere. Than we simply melted the shavings between two pieces of wax paper with a iron for a few seconds and then cut hearts out of the wax paper.

These cute simple little hats I found on Skip To My Lou. I loved them and thought they were too cute. I made one for each of the boys. Naughty was the only one home to model. Dakota looks pretty cute in his but won't leave it on. Chance even wears his. I will try to get a picture of the three of them and post it.
I made a few of theses and hung them in the front windows. Also made some similar ones and hung them too. I have never been into Valentines Day but we had fun decorating this year. I plan to do this for most holidays. (Even ground hog day) I am having a ball with it so far. I would not have done this had my WONDERFUL Husband not bought me a Cricut (no Trish it's not a bug!! LOL) for Christmas. Thanks again honey I LOVE IT!! I have wanted one for 3 years now and finally got one. My sisters and I are going to have a craft day once a month and try to do a craft for the holiday the following month. We are all to tight to buy decorations so we will just make our own. Plus we will keep Dad busy cutting stuff out for us. So if anyone wants to join us let us know!!

Conversation With Logan
Logan: Mom
Me: Yes Logan
Logan: This is dumb
Me: What's dumb Logan
Logan: This (showing me this cow) it can't have horns and boobs.
Sometimes with Logan it's better to walk away laughing and let daddy handle the questions that I have no idea how he comes up with. So that's what I did. He and Ray had the conversation how some cows can have boobs and horns. He really pays attention to detail. I'm scared to send this kid to school. What is he going to tell or ask his teacher?? Scary!! And I don't know what is with the boob fascination but it's tough sometimes. Most of the time it's hard not to laugh. He now calls it the "cow with boobs and horns" of course while grinning.
Another quick Logan story from yesterday. We were eating lunch and he wanted a Mt. Dew and I said no way. He informed me that Layne gets to drink Mt. Dew. I told him I'm not Layne's mom I'm your mom and I said no Mt. Dew. And explained to him that it would make him way too wild. He gives me this look and told me "next time I'm at Aunt Tisha's (that's what he calls her) house I will get one cause she will let me drink one." So Aunt Trisha be prepared to handle this one. If you give him one he's going to be WILD!!

What Girl Don't Like A Cute Bag
I'll be the first to admit, I LOVE BAGS! I don't have a lot to spite what Ray thinks. I worked at the bank with a lady that changed her purse EVERY DAY and it matched what ever she was wearing. And I mean matched. This one time stands out to me, she was wearing a shirt with bright green (almost neon green) squares (I think they were squares) on it and her purse was the SAME GREEN. It was awesome. That same day she was telling me that she has totes at her sisters house full of purses to hide them from her hubby. My guess she don't use them very often so why keep them? They are bags that's why!! I loved her story that day because I love bags so much... but not that much. This lady is the best she was so funny and fun to work with. Someday I want to look through all her bags. Anyway on with my story. I was at Family $ the other day and saw this awesome bag!!
It did have this awful looking beading on it. I loved the beads but not like this and not on this bag it was too cute for these beads! So being the little crafty pants that I want to be someday. I ripped them off and but them in my craft box that someday I will know what to do with. I am getting better and quite attached to crafting when I have my sisters with me. Moral support I guess.
The best part of it, and the MAIN reason for this post. I don't know if you can read the price tag but it was only $1.80 yes one dollar and eighty cents. I was SO!! excited. Like I was really going to put it down Ray come on honey. (he gave me the "another bag" look when I got home and showed him) Anyway just wanted to share. I am a sucker for getting stuff cheap when it's cute like this it's even better. They also had this same one in Yellow.
